Augusta Accident Results in Death and Injuries

According to the Augusta Chronicle, a 78-year-old of Augusta, Georgia, died Thursday (September 25) after a car accident that injured at least one other person. Authorities reported that he passed out and hit another vehicle around 1:30p.m. while heading eastbound on Wrightsboro Road near the 15th Street overpass. According to police, his vehicle then skidded into a nearby parking lot and collided with another car, which hit a telephone pole. At least one other driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.
