A Two-Car Accident Claims the Life of Two Carroll County Residents | Car Accident Attorney

A fatal car accident claims the life of two Carroll county residents on Highway 166 when their car crossed the center line and struck a truck head-on. James Kyrom Blackmon, 31 years of age, and Randy Mason, 23 years of age, were traveling in a Toyota Corolla and were heading eastbound toward Carrollton when they crossed over and hit a Chevrolet truck heading westbound towards Carrollton, according to Times-Georgian.

Nathan Gray, a resident of Carroll County, was the driver of the Chevrolet pickup. Mr. Gray, his wife and two sons were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both children involved in the crash were under the age of ten. Mr. and Ms. Gray were life- flighted to Atlanta Medical Center with serious injuries, and their two minor children were transported by ambulance to Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Their current condition is unknown at this time.

For several hours following the accident, the westbound lane of Highway 166 was closed and traffic was re-routed. Many Carroll County emergency responders worked diligently to free and transport the victims to seek medical care.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the fatal car accident  was still under investigation, but it was determined that the car accident was caused by the driver of the Toyota Corolla.
