April 8, 2008 - On our way to church in Hiram this past Sunday, I was with my family and I noticed in my rear view mirror a very aggressive driver right up on the bumper of my vehicle. The driver was obviously in a hurry because she followed my bumper very closely for about a mile or so until she was able to pass me. I was very concerned that she was going to hit the back of my car with my wife and children in the vehicle. I felt really nervous until she passed us.
Even though she was speeding, she didn’t make it very far, I caught up with her stopped at a red light. My ten year old son suggested that I call 9-1-1 on this lady, but I decided not to.
When I got home, I researched what I should do according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I found out that my son was correct, by calling 9-1-1. This was not the first aggressive driver I’ve met in Douglasville and I’m sure it will not be the last.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has important information on how to identify an aggressive driver and what you should do when confronted by one.
