Slow down, move to the right and stop! This is the law in Georgia if an emergency vehicle approaches you with lights and sirens on. According to 11 Alive news a Douglas county ambulance and private vehicle collided on Anneewakee Road in Douglasville Georgia. The ambulance had on lights and sirens and the car apparently turned into the path of the ambulance causing it to flip several times. One of the paramedics in the ambulance was ejected and had to be transported by life flight to Grady Memorial Hospital. The other paramedic and the driver of the car were transported to Wellstar Hospital in Douglasville. Douglas County Fire Chief Scott Spencer encourages all drivers to obey the law and to get out of the way of emergency vehicles.
