
A Limestone County, Alabama, car accident claimed the life of a woman from Athens, Georgia, Tuesday afternoon, according to Jean Cole of the E-News Courier website. The crash occurred when the vehicle of Carrie Ann Cook, 42, appeared to lose control and slammed into a tree on Lentzville Road. Limestone County Cororner Mike West said that blunt force trauma to the head and neck killed Cook in the Athens crash, which sent her flying into the back seat. According to Cole, the victim was not wearing her seatbelt before the accident.
