Atlanta Pedestrian Accident Kills Woman in Fulton County | Atlanta Pedestrian Accident Lawyer

A pedestrian woman from Atlanta was killed in a fatal accident in southwest Atlanta when a driver who was believed to be under the influence of alcohol struck her on Metropolitan Parkway, according to Marcus K. Garner of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  Francis Kirby, 52, was reportedly killed upon impact shortly after 5:00 p.m. when the1986 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme slammed into her as she was crossing the roadway in the 2600 block.  According to the AJC, the driver of the car, 36-year-old Frederick Slaton, was driving under the influence of at least one alcoholic beverage and had a suspended driver's license.  Slaton faces vehicular homicide charges along with charges of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and two counts of driving under the influence (DUI or "drunk driving") in the Fulton County pedestrian accident.
