Barrow County Deputy Sustained Injuries In Auto Accident | Atlanta Accident Attorney

Yesterday, May 20, 2010, a Barrow County Deputy was involved in a serious auto accident on Highway 316 at Carl-Bethlehem Road in Barrow County, according to investigators. The deputy’s patrol car was hit by another vehicle driving traveling 70 to 80 miles per hour. The driver of the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 316 when the driver ran a red light and struck the deputy’s vehicle on the driver’s side.

The deputy was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Athens Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with disregarding a traffic control device, driving on a suspended license, failure to use due care and having an open container in the vehicle.
