Canton Area DUI Accident Kills One, Injures One | Canton Accident Attorney

A DUI accident near Canton, Georgia, killed one teenage girl and sent another to the hospital shortly after midnight Friday evening, according to Paul Crawley of the 11 Alive News website.  According to police, they suspected that Stephen Patrick Wauschek was driving under the influence of alcohol, and Wauschek fled an officer when pulled over on Riverstone Parkway.  The DUI suspect proceeded to hit the vehicle of nineteen-year-olds Brittany Elaine Weiss and Kassandra Aileen Carmen, who had just left a movie theater. Weiss was pronounced dead at the scene, and Carmen was in serious condition in Marietta's Kennestone Hospital at the time of the report.  Wauschek also ran a red light and was driving on a suspended license, and he was taken to the Cherokee County Jail.
