Event: Fatal-Single Car Accident in Georgia
Monroe Area High School students mourn over the loss of a senior fellow classmate, Thomas Rawlings, 18 years of age. Mr. Rawlings vehicle swerved off the road and struck a utility pole, according to the Walton Tribune. The fatal car accident occurred while he was driving home from work on Carlt Davis Road.
According to Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Rawlings was the unrestrained driver in the fatal car accident and was ejected upon impact. Although, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement officials were dispatched and arrived shortly after, Mr. Rawlings was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Walton County residents learn from this fatal accident the significance and importance of always wearing a seat belt.
The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating the fatal car accident in Walton County, Georgia.
