According to the Georgia State Patrol there were twelve holiday fatalities this past weekend. This was much less than had been predicted. The majority of the accidents occurred in Metro Atlanta where four lives were claimed. Northeast Georgia, Troop B recorded no fatalities although there were 147 recorded accidents. Georgia had 24 traffic fatalities last year.
