Clayton County Officer Injured in Car Accident

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a Clayton County officer was seriously injured in a car accident on I-675. A driver of a large truck rear-ended the Clayton County police car and was charged with causing serious injury by vehicle, following too closely and too fast for conditions. The officer was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injures sustained in the accident. The driver of the truck also rear-ended another vehicle on I-675.
