A maintenance worker for Dekalb Police Department fell in an elevator shaft yesterday morning while attempting to retrieve someone’s cell phone. The gentleman fell approximately five feet and suffered a laceration to his head. According to a police department spokesperson, the injured man did not lose consciousness however; he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
