On Sunday, January 3, 2010, a two-car crash occurred in Coweta County, Georgia, on US Highway 29 and West Camp Church Road. An elderly man was traveling on US Highway 29 when he was turning left and was struck by another vehicle. The victim was ejected from the vehicle and is in serious condition from the injuries sustained in the car accident. According to the Georgia State Patrol, he was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle received non-life threatening injuries.

The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating said accident and charges are pending.
