Desperate Housewives Star Gale Harold, a Decatur Native, Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Decatur, Georgia, native Gale Harold of "Desperate Housewives" was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident October 14, 2008, according to the LA Times website. The 39-year-old actor, who plays the new boyfriend of Teri Hatcher's character in the show, was in the intensive care unit at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center after suffering a fractured shoulder and brain swelling in the crash. Fortunately, Harold was released from ICU, was steadily improving, and was reportedly expected to recover fully as of October 24, 2008, according to an Entertainment Weekly website. Harold is also known for playing Brian Kinney on "Queer as Folk."
