  • "The best part about having James Murphy as my workers' compensationlawyer is that I have someone to speak for me..."
  • The initial phone call made me feel as though they really cared. They made us feel like a number, and Murphy & Associates didn't. My wife and I have never gone through something like this before and accidents can be devastating to a family because of loss of income, pain and suffering.
  • Murphy & Associates made my experience fast and easy, and got the job done.
  • Murphy & Associates Car Accident Law firm is professional, efficient, and a pleasant experience doing business with.
  • I was involved in a rear-end collision while stopped at a red light. Mr. Murphy and his staff guided me through this long process from obtaining medical treatment to settling with the other party's insurance company.

Douglas County Board of Commissioners approves a three-way stop sign on dangerous road.

March 6, 2008 - I was thrilled yesterday to hear that the Board of Commissioners approved a three-way stop sign for the Mason Creek Road and Cowan Mill Road intersection in Douglas County Georgia. On my morning commute to work, I often go past this intersection and observe motorists traveling at a high rate of speed on Mason Creek Road.

There is presently a stop sign where Cowan Mill Road intersects Mason Creek Road. However, motorists traveling at a high rate of speed along Mason Creek Road often create a dangerous situation as they approach Cowan Mill Road because the visibility from the stop sign on Cowan Mill Road is not very good. This intersection has been the scene of many car accidents. The approval of a three-way stop sign was in response to concerns expressed by many citizens who described the danger of this intersection. According to Winston Jones with the Douglas County Sentinel, it was reported that a bridge project is to begin in 2009, which would include straightening the roadway and improving sight distance at the intersection.
