According to local news, on Friday June 3rd, 2011 a Douglas County Deputy was injured in an auto accident. The accident took place on the ramp from Chapel Hill road to I-20 westbound, when a motorist rear ended the deputies patrol car. The deputy was outside the vehicle attending to another motorist at the time the incident occurred. DUI charges are pending.
