Often unseen or overlooked by other drivers due to the smaller size of their vehicles, motorcyclists are more likely to be involved in accidents than other drivers. Due to inadequate protection from serious injury,
motorcycle accident victims often suffer serious, long-term, or even catastrophic injuries. Monday evening, a
Douglasville motorcycle accident claimed the life of one of
Fulton County's most dedicated sheriff's deputies.
The
Douglasville motorcycle accident killed
Fulton County sheriff's deputy Keith James Draper on Monday night, December 8, according to the WSBTV website. The site reports that 43-year-old Draper crashed his
motorcycle on Lee Road near his
Douglasville home. The deputy worked with the Sheriff's Office for ten years, served on the Sheriff's Honor Guard, and was disciplined and very dedicated, according to Sheriff Myron E. Freeman, who also says that Deputy Draper was the "perfect example of what a deputy should be" and "will be truly missed by all . . ." We express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Deputy Keith Draper. Our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.
