Driver Located After Helen Area Crash

The driver of the vehicle that killed Helen resident Vanessa Ayers Coble has now been located, according to Dean Dyers of the Access North Georgia website. According to White County Sheriff Neal Walden, driver Edward Gant, 51, was found at a Hiawassee area hospital on Wednesday following the Tuesday morning crash Tray Mountain Road in northern White County. Gant faces charges of homicide by vehicle, felony hit-and-run, and DUI, though the investigation is still ongoing.
