A Dunwoody teen was killed on New Year's Eve, December 31, when driving back to the Atlanta area from a Lake Oconee area party, according to Rebecca Chase Williams of The Dunwoody Crier. Allison Marie Wise, 18, died after the accident at Augusta's Georgia Medical College. According to Williams, Allison's father, Carl Wise, reported that the teen was not wearing a seat belt and was driving "way too fast," causing the car to flip multiple times after crashing on County Road 17 just 20 miles east of Washington, Georgia. Wise was cheerleading captain while at Mount Vernon Presbyterian High School and a bright, happy person to be around, say friends and family. She was a member of the first graduating class of the school.
