Expect Delays on Atlanta's Downtown Connector This Weekend

Atlanta drivers planning to take the Downtown Connector during the later evening and early morning hours this weekend should expect delays as crews work to put six beams in place as part of the construction of the 14th Street Bridge, according to the 11 Alive website.  Hours for construction are 8:00p.m through 5:00a.m. daily Friday through Tuesday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. 
The three inside southbound lanes on I-75/I-85 will be closed between 10th and 17th streets, and the HOV lane of I-75 South will be closed around the area.  Traffic will be paced at entrance ramps on I-75 at Moores Mill Road and I-85 from the GA 400 entry into I-85 South.  Other lanes in the connector will be closed at various points, as well.
