About a month ago, in Henry County, Georgia, on Interstate 75, a charter bus with several members of the Morehouse College Marching band was involved in a bus accident sending many students to the hospital. The driver of the charter bus, Ralph Marshall, sixty three years of age, resident of Jonesboro, Georgia, was involved in a fatal car accident on November 11, 2009. According to the police officers on the scene, the accident happened at the intersection of Sylvan Road and Arden Avenue in south Fulton County, Georgia. Mr. Marshall was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in the accident, where he was pronounced dead.

Ralph Marshall was an employee of a charter bus company, Superior Transportation in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia Public Service Commission and the U.S. Department of Transportation are investigating Superior Transportation’s background after an audit determined the carrier was not properly licensed and was uninsured.
