Fatal Accident on Interstate 20 in Atlanta, Georgia

Location: I-20 East near the Downtown Connector
Event: Fatal Pedestrian Accident | Atlanta Accident Attorney

On Saturday, January 30, 2010, an auto accident occurred on I-20 eastbound near McDaniel Road, according to the Atlanta Police Department. Angel Woah, 23 years of age, resident of Snellville, Georgia, was pulled over on the side of I-20 East near the Downtown Connector because of a minor accident. Satonya Cleveland, 35 years of age, resident of Lithonia, Georgia, was also pulled over on the side of I-20 east. Both women were struck by an oncoming tow truck outside their parked cars on the interstate.

Ms. Cleveland passed away at the scene of the accident, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office. Ms. Woah was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where she passed away early Sunday morning.

This fatal accident is still being investigated and no charges have been filed against the tow truck driver.
