
Six people were injured (five of them children) and one was killed Monday morning (October 6, 2008) in a DeKalb County accident involving two vehicles. As reported by Mike Morris of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the wreck took place at the intersection of Redan Road and ToLani Drive around 7:30a.m., according to Mekka Parish, DeKalb police spokeswoman. The driver of a Toyota Camry died at the scene after navigating his vehicle from ToLani Drive into the path of an SUV. According to reports, a six-year-old who had been riding in the Camry sustained serious injuries, and three other passengers (7, 15, and 17 years of age) in that vehicle were moderately injured in the crash. The driver and a 9-year-old passenger of the SUV were transported to the hospital for treatment. Names were not released at printing time.
