
According to The Lincoln Journal online, five were injured when a car crashed into a golf cart on Thomson Highway (Highway 43) in Lincoln County, Georgia. In a report from the Georgia State Patrol, the golf cart was said to be traveling from a private drive to cross Highway 43 when it was hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The driver of the Chevrolet, 29-year-old Steven Fendley, saw the golf cart but was unable to stop his vehicle in time to avoid a collision. Brittney Johnson, 25, and four others were injured in the golf cart during the crash and transported to the Medical College of Georgia hospital.
