On June 16, 2009, a Forsyth County resident was killed when his vehicle went under an 18 wheeler tractor trailer on Highway GA 400. According to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the victim of the car accident was Kyle Palazzo of Wallace Tatum Road in Forsyth County. Mr. Palazzo's 2000 Honda Civic hit the back of the 18 wheeler tractor trailer and went under the truck when it was at a red light. The driver of the 18 wheeler tractor trailer was Randall Howard Griffin, 58 years of age and an resident of Roanoke, Alabama. Mr. Griffin stated to the Sheriff's Office that he felt something hit his truck, when he was at a complete stop. Vehicles at the intersection had to alert the truck driver about the vehicle being underneath his truck.  Mr. Griffin likely will not be charged for the fatal car accident.
