Four Atlanta Accidents Within Five Miles on I-85 Wednesday, August 20

Between exit 56 (Collinsworth Road) and exit 61 (Fairburn) on I-85 in Atlanta Wednesday morning (August 20), four separate accidents occurred, closing some lanes for over six hours. In the first crash, a tractor-trailer truck collided with a concrete barrier around 4:30am and caught fire. Three additional accidents took place as well, and at least one person was life-flighted in a helicopter to a local hospital.
