According to the Atlanta Police Department, a driver of a vehicle was speeding when he struck a horse and carriage on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Odom Gerald, 28 years of age, was the driver of the vehicle, who was transported to an Atlanta hospital for medical treatment and then booked into the Atlanta City Jail. The charges filed against the driver were not immediately available.
According to a spokeswoman at Grady Memorial Hospital, one passenger in the carriage is in critical condition and the three others are in fair condition.
