Testimonials

  • I don’t have any medical bills, I’m receiving revenue for my pain and suffering, and I’m very appreciative. I am truly satisfied with the results of my case.
  • "The best part about having James Murphy as my workers' compensationlawyer is that I have someone to speak for me..."
  • The initial phone call made me feel as though they really cared. They made us feel like a number, and Murphy & Associates didn't. My wife and I have never gone through something like this before and accidents can be devastating to a family because of loss of income, pain and suffering.
  • Murphy & Associates made my experience fast and easy, and got the job done.
  • Murphy & Associates Car Accident Law firm is professional, efficient, and a pleasant experience doing business with.
  • I was involved in a rear-end collision while stopped at a red light. Mr. Murphy and his staff guided me through this long process from obtaining medical treatment to settling with the other party's insurance company.

Free Seminar to Discuss Ways to Tell Parents They’re “Too Old To Drive”

Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, GA, will host a free seminar this Saturday (July 26) for anyone feeling that his or her aging parents need to give up their car keys– permanently. According to seminar creator and speaker Don Linnartz, a talk with parents when their driving becomes hazardous is essential but sometimes difficult. In an attempt to ease that difficulty while also stressing the importance of being sensitive to the elderly’s feelings, he speaks to many about how, when, and why they should have a "talk" with elderly drivers.

Due to diminished vision, slower reflexes, or even dementia from various diseases, older drivers can endanger themselves and others on the road. Despite their limitations, however, the elderly can be very defensive when addressed about them. Linnartz teaches seminar attendees to be careful in wording, timing, and behavior when talking about the topic, and he recommends using near-accidents or fender-benders as opportunities to mention the issue. Some elderly people may recognize at least a small need for adjustment to driving habits, such as avoiding driving at night or making left turns. If done carefully, a concerned son or daughter can refer to such precautions and suggest adding to them. Car accidents are numerous, and we all need to work together to minimize their occurrence.

Our law firm handles car accident cases. If you have been injured in an accident in which another party was at fault, call us at 770-577-3020 for a free consultation. There is absolutely no obligation.
