Gainesville Woman Injured in Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident in Stable Condition
A Gainesville woman sustained injuries after being run over by a vehicle on Brown Street Monday evening, according to the Gainesville Times website. The Georgia State Patrol reported that the accident occurred just off Old Athens Highway on Brown Street around 9:35 p.m. when a Honda Civic ran over the midsection of 43-year-old Betty Weston. As of Tuesday, pedestrian Weston was in stable condition at the intensive car unit of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.Although the driver was not found at fault in this vehicle-pedestrian accident, many accidents similar to this one involve incidents in which drivers did not yield to the right-of-way of pedestrians.
