The recent arrest of Georgia Bulldogs tailback, Washaun Ealey, for a hit and run accident reminds us of how often young inexperienced drivers are in car accidents. In Mr. Ealey’s case, the situation was compounded by the fact that his license was suspended at the time of the hit and run accident. The Georgia Bulldogs Coach Mark Richt stated, “I’m not happy with it. It’s foolish. He knew better.”

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, on August 26, 2010, when the incident occurred he was arrested on misdemeanor charges of “duty upon strike” (hit and run) and driving with a suspended license.

Fortunately, Mr. Ealey was not seriously injured as a result of this accident.
