Tuesday afternoon on October 27, 2009, a fatal accident occurred in Henry County, Virginia involving a Georgia resident. According to the Virginia State Police, Virginia Bolton, sixty nine years of age, resident of Austell, Georgia was a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle Ms. Bolton was  traveling in was headed eastbound on U.S. Highway 58. As the vehicle was making a left hand turn at Carver Road a pickup truck was traveling in the opposite direction and hit Ms. Bolton’s vehicle causing them to spin into another vehicle.

Ms. Bolton was transported to Memorial Hospital of Martinsville in Henry County, Virginia from injuries sustained in the car accident. She was later pronounced dead from the impact of the accident.

Virginia Loggins, eighty eight years of age, resident of Stuart, Virginia, was the driver of the vehicle Ms. Bolton was in. Ms. Loggins was transported to the same hospital as Ms. Bolton with injuries. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

As a result of this fatal accident, Virginia Loggins was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
