On Saturday morning, October 11, Martha Morris, age 75, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, died from injuries she suffered late Friday night when she walked into an intersection and was struck by a vehicle headed north on State Road A1A in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The accident happened at 10:00 p.m. Friday evening. According to police, the driver of the vehicle was not at fault. An investigation revealed that the driver was not exceeding the speed limit. Neither speed nor alcohol was suspected to be involved in the incident. Ms. Morris was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead just before 12:30 a.m. This information is according to an article from Florida Today.
