High School Student Injured in Car Accident in McDuffie County, Georgia | Georgia Accident Lawyer

Friday afternoon on October 23, 2009, in Thomson, Georgia, a high school student attending Thomson High School was transported by helicopter to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital after sustaining critical injuries in an auto accident. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on Thomson-McDuffie Junior High School campus. The authorities at the high school stated that two boys were "playing around." One of the boys was sitting on the hood of the vehicle, and the other was driving the same vehicle. When the driver of the vehicle applied the brakes, the other boy on the hood slid off and hit his head on the pavement. The high school boy received many injuries and was treated at the scene of the accident by emergency personnel with the McDuffie County Emergency Medical Services.

According to the McDuffie County School Superintendent, Jim LeBrun, the high school boys had younger siblings at the Junior High School, and they were picking them up after school.
