Highway 92 Project Douglas & Paulding Counties To Benefit | Personal Injury Attorney | Workers’ Compensation Attorney

On Tuesday June 29, 2010 approximately 175 people met with DOT officials and engineering consultants to discuss the relocation and widening project planned for Highway 92. Marcia Hampton, the director of community services for Douglasville said, she was pleased with the number of people who turned out stating that most residents received answers to their concerns.

Solution to the traffic and congestion problems however; will not be immediate. According to the Georgia DOT communications officer, Dr. Mohamed M. Arafa of the 6th District, the project will not be completed till approximated 2020 - 2021.  Some business owners who may be affected by this project have already requested an emergency buyout of their properties due to the uncertainty of the project timing.
