The Labor Day Weekend is here and Law Enforcement Officials across Georgia and Alabama will join together for “Hands Across the Border”. This event is to promote safety and decrease those drinking and driving on the roads and highways of Georgia and Alabama. The goal is to reduce deaths and accidents that usually occur during a holiday period. There will be mobile units across the state equipped to process on the scene testing for drivers that may be drinking and driving. Along with looking for impaired drivers, law enforcement will also be in marked cars, and will be on the look out for speeders, tailgaters, improper passing and failing to signal.
