An early morning auto accident killed one person in Huntsville, Alabama, on Research Park Boulevard near Dan Tibbs Road, according to Niki Doyle of the Al.com (Everything Alabama) website. State Troopers reported that the crash involved a car and a tanker truck and took place around 6:15 a.m. The driver of the car, 16-year-old Meridianville resident Whitney Elaine Stover, was reportedly traveling south on Research Park Boulevard when her vehicle slammed into a large box truck that pulled out in front of her from Dan Tibbs Road. Stover was pronounced dead at the scene, and police are still investigating the fatal car accident to determine whether the truck came to a complete stop on Dan Tibbs Road before turning into traffic on Research Park Boulevard. If it is determined that the truck was at-fault in the accident, the teenager's family may wish to file a wrongful death claim. Whatever they choose to do, our deepest sympathies are with the family of Whitney Stover at this difficult time.
