I-20 Head-On Collision Kills One, Injures Four

A 52-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, died in an accident Monday morning (July 28) when a pickup truck hit his vehicle head-on in the northbound lane on I-20. According to reports, the victim was driving north on Interstate 20 near the Valley Road exit in Bessemer when the pickup truck in the southbound lane crossed the median and collided head-on with his vehicle. After the accident, the Birmingham man was transported to the UAB hospital where he was pronounced dead. At least four others were injured in the head-on collision, as well.
