
Four teenagers were injured in a single vehicle car accident on Interstate 75 in Dalton, Georgia, August 8. According to The Daily Citizen, Carpets of Dalton employee Angela Stern ran to help after two of the passengers were thrown several feet from the green 2003 Ford Explorer. A dispatcher with the Georgia State Patrol reported that William Hogan, 19, was driving south on I-75 when the SUV left the interstate, slammed into the guard rail, re-entered the roadway, spun and flipped. Other passengers were Joseph Avolio, 19, Ashley Capps, 18, and Tabatha Elmore, also 18. Avolio, Capps, and Hogan have been reported to have "visible injuries," while Elmore’s injuries have been labeled "serious."
