A multi-vehicle car accident in the southbound lanes of I-75 sent one woman and four children to the hospital with potential injuries, according to Stephanie Susskind of the 13 WMAZ website. Susskind reports that the driver of one vehicle appeared to lose control of the car around 1:00 p.m. Saturday near the exit that leads to Centerville, causing it to hit another small vehicle. The car that was hit flipped upon impact, and police are still investigating the accident to determine if a third vehicle was involved as well, according to Byron Fire Chief J.D. Mosby. Mosby also stated that the father of the four children (who range in age from a few months old to six years old) took them to the hospital following the accident to ensure that they are not seriously injured. Although no charges had been filed at the time of the report, the Byron Police Department and Georgia State Patrol will continue investigating the I-75 crash.
