Innocent Car Accident Victim Killed After Birmingham Burglary

Birmingham, Alabama, was the site of a fatal car accident recently after burglary suspects attempted to flee from police, according to Carol Robinson of The Birmingham News on the Al.com website.  After breaking into a nearby home, three suspects fled the scene in their silver Chevrolet Malibu.  The suspects crashed in to blue-green Toyota Corolla at 9200 Parkway East and jumped out of their vehicle to run, but police captured the criminals quickly.  The driver who was struck was pronounced dead on the scene.  Although his name has not been released, Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Henry Irby reports that the man killed in the crash was a 51-year-old white male.
