“Just Drive” Safe Driving Expo | Atlanta Personal Injury Attorney

On April 3, 2010 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Georgia Highlands College, Floyd County schools  SADD ( students against distractive driving ) along with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety  are coming together to host a safe driving expo. The program provides great information on the different distractions that are present when not only texting or talking on the phone but also the hazards of driving when intoxicated.

The expo will have simulation courses closed driving courses where licensed individuals can learn the dangers and experience what to do in a controlled environment. The simulations will demonstrate the dangers of texting and talking on the phone as well as driving impaired.

Statistics have shown that the majority of licensed drivers believe that talking or texting while driving is very dangerous yet more than 80 % of the population still admits to participating in texting and talking on the phone while operating a vehicle.
