Kokila Patel Killed in Savannah Pedestrian Accident

Kokila Patel was killed in a Savannah, Georgia, pedestrian accident late Tuesday evening, October 14, according to a report from the WTOC 11 website.  Although police originally thought the accident involved a hit-and-run vehicle, new information has revealed that only one vehicle was involved in the accident, a 1993 Buick Park Avenue that remained at the scene after the crash.  According to the website, Kokila Patel and two friends were crossing Highway 204 when the vehicle struck Patel and a friend.  Patel died at the scene, and her friend sustained only minor injuries when hit my the car's mirror.
