Guangmao Nie, age 68, was reported to be in serious condition after the bicycle that he was riding collided with a van Friday morning, October 3, in Kathleen,  Georgia.  The accident occured at about 8 a.m. on Audrey Way in Kathleen, according to  the Houston County sheriff's office.

According to police, Mr. Nie was exiting his driveway when he was struck by a van. The driver of the van was identified as Lisa Reed.  Ms Reed apparently was driving below the speed limit of 25mph.  She could not have avoided the accident, according to the sheriff's department's report.  Ms. Reed was not injured and no charges are expected.
