Man Jumps Off Bridge on I-285 in Cobb County

A man jumped off an interstate bridge in the Marietta, Georgia, area early Monday morning, November 10, after Cobb County police pulled over the driver on I-285, according to the 11 Alive website. Police estimated a 34-foot drop from the bridge near Akers Mill Road to the place he landed, and the man broke both of his legs in the incident. Police are still trying to determine the exact reason behind the sudden jump, but they said they found marijuana in the man’s vehicle.

The website did not report any injuries due to car accidents that may have been caused by the incident, but many cases of distracting, dangerous behavior such as this result in automobile accidents.
