
Thomson, Georgia, resident Ardrian Mariana Brown, age 30, was killed in a pedestrian accident last Friday night, November 7, 2008, when another vehicle struck him on Old Washington Road in the McDuffie County area, according to Lynn Davidson of the McDuffie Mirror online. Brown was pronounced dead around 7:50 p.m. at the accident scene by McDuffie County Coroner Rhusha Mack. According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Willie Ramsey, 23-year-old driver Valencia Hunt of Thomson, was traveling south on Old Washington Road when her vehicle struck Mr. Brown, who had traveled into the roadway on foot. Hunt’s car skidded 87.3 feet before stopping, but none of the four occupants of the vehicle were injured when the wreck occurred. Davidson reports that no charges have been filed in response to the crash.
