According to the WALB News website, Memorial Day fatalities from car accidents in the state of Georgia were fewer in number than estimated for this year. The site reports that 18 deaths from car accidents on Georgia highways were estimated to occur over the weekend's travel period, which ended at midnight Monday evening, but only 9 fatal accidents took place in the state. Despite the lower number than expected, we believe that any number above zero is one too many. Words cannot describe the overwhelming emotions and devastation experienced after losing someone in an accident.
