Metro Atlanta Woman Dies After Truck Accident
Sara Sue Whaley Wimpey, 89, died Saturday morning (August 2) at Hamilton Medical Center after sustaining injuries in a car accident Thursday morning (July 31) north of Atlanta. According to reports by the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred when Whaley failed to yield the right-of-way to a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Ridge Road and the South Dalton Bypass in Dalton, Georgia. Though the truck driver’s condition is unknown, officers have confirmed that his vehicle jack-knifed and then ejected him.
