Middle School Students Injured in Bus Accident in Newton County | Douglasville Bus Accident Attorney

According to the Georgia State Patrol, yesterday a teenager driver slammed his pickup truck into a school bus, which caused several injuries to students. The driver of the pickup truck, 17 years of age, resident of Covington, Georgia, was traveling northbound on Ga. 36 when he turned left in front of the school bus traveling southbound at Moore Road. The school bus was carrying 27 middle school students. Three of the students were transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and one student was transported to Newton Medical Center for injuries sustained in the accident. Several other students received medical treatment at the scene of the accident for minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. The Georgia State Patrol said charges were still pending in this accident.
