
Nell Jahamel Grant, 58, of Cedartown, Georgia, was killed Thursday afternoon, October 16, in what police believe was a one-vehicle accident just north of Cedartown on Cave Spring Road/Old Highway 100 near Rome, Georgia. According to the Rome News-Tribune website, the Polk County Assistant Coroner Tony Brazier believes that Grant was headed to work when her vehicle veered off the roadway. The Georgia State Patrol reported that another driver discovered Grant’s wrecked vehicle around 5:45 p.m. in a gulley below the road, although the time of accident is unknown. According to the website, Ms. Grant worked at the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring, Georgia.
