New Year's Weekend Accidents Predicted by Georgia State Patrol

Twenty (20) traffic accident-related deaths have been predicted by the Georgia State Patrol for this New Year's Day holiday weekend in Georgia, according to the 11 Alive News website.  The travel period for calculations totals 102 hours and begins today, Wednesday, December 31, at 6:00 p.m and ends Sunday, January 4, at midnight.   According to the website, the 102-hour New Year's travel period last year saw 2,109 Georgia accidents, which resulted in 22 fatalities and 1,250 injuries.  This year, the Patrol estimates 1,350 injuries resulting from 3,008 crashes in the state.  If you plan to navigate Georgia roadways this New Year's weekend, please be sure to exercise extreme caution.  Our law firm wishes you safe and happy traveling for this weekend and the new year to come.  If you have been injured in an accident, however, please feel free to call us at 770-577-3020 for free answers to any questions you may have.
